Model Rules and Guidelines

The OTC committees develop consensus-based model rules and guidelines for use by their members at their discretion. The OTC itself is not a regulatory authority and does not adopt these as requirements for the region. Each OTC member that opts to adopt a model rule or guideline may modify it according to its own circumstances, and each OTC member is the primary authority on interpreting its rules and guidelines within its jurisdiction. For a listing of the status of model rules and guidelines for each OTC member, and the lead agency contacts to ask about their requirements, please visit the Status of Adoption of OTC Model Rules/Regulatory & Technical Guidelines.
